Tom "Turbo" Ernst almost made an appearance in 2006!

Greg "Barfy" Nolte, Gary "Guard Rail" Thurstlic, John "Dog Catcher" Phy and Bob "Waldo" Russo

This man missed the trip for the sixth straight year.  If you see him, remind him often that the next trip is coming up in April of 2009.  Ask him if he has his ticket to Philly yet.  Tell him about the Yuengling caves.  Send him an autograph from Don Vito.  Even better, everyone who reads this should send him empty beer bottles.  His address is located on the LINKS PAGE.  Yeah, that's the ticket!  Place a note inside the bottles reminding Tom "Turbo" Ernst that he has promised to join us.  I think he would really like that. Yeah.  He surely would.  Yeah.... If we can survive Awassi, then we can probably live through the burgers.  We get better each year when it comes to planning the creekside picnic lunch.  I think we got the burgers worked out.  (It took me 2 weeks to work the heart burgers of 2003 out!)  Next year we'll get the grill situation perfected and will invest in a workable can opener so that Mike "P.W." Green won't have to bash the can open with a pointed rock again.  (side note - I had a Swiss Army knife in my pocket this year and didn't think of it until we got back from rafting!)  Oops!

Rob "Cornbread" Robinson is in Vince "Don Vito" Margera's choke hold as Bob "Papa Duke" Robinson stands by. Chris "Oh Burger" Oberg snorks his brew while Chuck "Cruise Director" Carter prepares to flip dem burgers. Do you want fries with that?
What do you mean we are out of beer! *#%&#% !!!

I think a monkey just flew out of my butt!

With 5.4' of water, we only spent 4 hours on the river. Mountain Grill is now open for business!
The rafting ends just on the other side of the Blackwell Bridge.  A bucket of cold water just missed Bob "Waldo" Russo as a rookie opportunity.  Whew! It took us less than 10 minutes to build a "wilderness grill" with rocks, match-lite charcoal, and some aluminum foil pans.  Next year we will have a grill top that is currently being engineered.  Yeeehaaaa!

I'm feeling flatuboyant! Abscabadab!

I can't wait until the 2009 trip!!!

Each year the trip gets better and the group gets larger!

Pull my finger?

Tom Ernst is coming next year?  He almost made it in 2006...  Almost....  Keep sending those empty beer bottles to his business address located on the Links Page.  Yeeehaaaa!!!
